I have always been passionate about pursuing a meaningful career working with animals. This journey began with a foundation in human therapy, leading me to study Sports and Exercise Therapy at Loughborough University. Studying locally allowed me to continue competing with my horses while pursuing my degree, which ultimately inspired my undergraduate dissertation on lower back pain in equestrian athletes.

As a competitive athlete myself, I understand the frustration of injury and the importance of effective rehabilitation, which informs the empathy and expertise I bring to every client. My interest in physiotherapy deepened during my A-levels, when a close family member suffered a critical accident requiring extensive rehabilitation. Observing the impact physiotherapy had on their recovery motivated me to pursue a career in this field, despite academic challenges along the way.

Since graduating in 2022, I have been working as a Sports and Exercise Therapist while completing my Master’s in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Nottingham University, qualifying fully in November 2024. I continue to expand my expertise through ongoing research, including studies on saddle pressure and hip abductor tightness in equestrian athletes.

My passion for veterinary physiotherapy began in childhood, watching my own ponies benefit from treatment. Having owned horses all my life, I am confident and comfortable around them, and I genuinely enjoy supporting their health and performance. Personal experiences have further shaped my practice: my horse was diagnosed with hock arthritis in 2023, and I managed her rehabilitation with veterinary guidance, while my brother’s horse underwent colic surgery in 2025, with me overseeing his full recovery plan. These experiences allow me to empathize with owners while providing informed, effective rehabilitation strategies tailored to each horse.

Alongside equine work, I have grown up around dogs of all breeds and currently own Sandy, a lively cocker spaniel I am training in agility, and Lexi, a gentle German shepherd. I also work one day a week at a canine physiotherapy clinic in Sheffield, treating a variety of breeds and conditions, further broadening my experience in animal rehabilitation.

Over the years, my focus has expanded to the connection between horse and rider, recognising that the wellbeing and performance of both are deeply linked. With expertise in both human and veterinary physiotherapy, I am uniquely positioned to help riders and their horses achieve optimal performance, recover from injury, and improve overall wellbeing.
